Hi, I am a graduate of the Clarion class of 2007. This was a great experience, but I am still unpublished. Here are some of the things I have worked on over the years.



"A Clean Start"- SF short story. Completed Fall 2003. Winner TusCon 30 short story contest.

Bluebirds - SF novel. Halfway to completion of first draft. Angst-ridden, self-absorbed Cindy has a run in with space pirates on her way to Mars.

"Bratislava"- An exercise given at Clarion '07 by Jeff Vandermeer based on "The Leonardo" by Vladimir Nabokov. To be published in an upcoming anthology.

"Gunther"- SF short story. Gunther is living a completely virtual life on Earth from his deep space freight.

"Fire" - SF short story. Fundamental Originalist Maribeth faces a challenge to her faith after a car accident.

Gil - SF Screenplay. Collaborative. Colonists are terraforming Mars and things go awry, they could use a little divine intervention!

"Invite"- Horror short story. Needs a lot of revision.

"Night Gardening" - SF/Horror short story. Despite his sun allergy, Dr. Claudius Baynes has built an amazing garden by night, waiting for the day he can bring his wife back to life.

"One Trick Pony" - SF short story. Cindy looks for meaning in her life and joins the Peace Corps which takes her to Southern Africa. Pre-quel to Bluebirds.

"Ravenna"- SF Short Story. Summer '07 at Clarion. The light freighter Ravenna envcounters trouble between Mars and Ceres.

Secrets In The Darkness - SF Screenplay. Collaborative.

Sulpicia - YA Historical Fiction novel. At her family's villa just north of Rome, Sulpicia barely survives an attack on her father. Can she find her way to Rome and safety?

Starburst Passing - SF Novel. In the Spring of 1997, a recently deceased man finds himself on the dark object following Comet Hale-Bopp along with some of the great scientific minds of the century, a host of Sumerians, the victims of a UFO cult, and countless others. Written for NaNoWriMo 2003, the online challange to write 50,000 words in 30 days. I did it!

waterbabies - SF/Horror. Claudia, an American working temporarily in Japan, copes with the loss of a hard-won pregnancy.
